I think UMES is a great school if you want to get a change of scenery and are okay with getting out of your comfort zone. I tell everyone before they come to college to not pick a school based on what you hear about it as far as the “fun” and “parties” because it’s not what it’s cracked up to be.
Virginia State University is definitely my home away from home. If I can describe VSU in one word, it would be family. VSU makes sure you are welcomed with open arms and host amazing events that would make you get out of your room.
Wiley is definitely a college of whatever you make it. There have been a lot good experiences during my time here as well as a few bad ones.
Alabama A&M is a public historically black university (HBCU) in Huntsville, AL. A&M has a beautiful campus and an even more incredible engineering program! Also, Huntsville is now the biggest city in AL. They have grown the city to have a lot more stores, shops, and outing activities.
On the other side of things the school has a great criminal justice program and we get a lot of exposure from successful people in the community and campus safety is hands on with the students and I’ve personally built a great relationship with officers as well as the chief.
