I Found My Niche at University of Louisville
Student Name: Karanda
School: University of Louisville
Major: Anthropology
“Hi! My name is Karanda (she/her) and I will be majoring in Anthropology at the University of Louisville as a freshman in the fall.
I wanted college to feel like my home away from home, and as a lover of the ‘Ville it seemed like the obvious choice. Coming from rural Appalachia, I always looked to branch out and discover cultures different from my own as I pursued further education. Louisville offers many different cultures and exploratory opportunities that I haven’t had so far in my life. This and the thriving campus community have made me immensely excited for college, which has furthered my drive to be the first in my family to graduate.
I’ve also found UofL to be extremely helpful for any first year students with questions and welcoming in ways I’ve never seen before. As a student who was undecided until recently, Louisville never made me feel like I was in the dark with that choice. I’m so excited for the opportunity to explore this great city in the fall. #GoCards” – @karandaf
